The core is made up of many muscles like the rectus abdominus, obliques, transverse abdominus, erector spinea, gluteus maximus, quadratus lumborum etc. A strong core gives you stability, balance and power. Many athletes could benefit from the competitive edge a strong core will give them. Non-athletes could also benefit from a strong core.
